About the program
The Next Hundred Public Health Stewards (TNH-PHS) Program is an initiative of CHESIDS designed to equip young public health enthusiasts with the knowledge and skills relevant to public health practice in Nigeria. Through a deliberate tooling program, participants gain leadership and competence-building experiences, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. 

The stewards undergo a 3-day orientation facilitated by public health subject matter experts. Following the orientation, they will embark on a 3-month intensive immersion experience within our partner organizations based in FCT, Abuja. 

Building upon the success of the previous cohort, CHESIDS is happy to announce the commencement of the 10th cohort.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A recent graduate of Public Health or interest in Public health.
  • Passion to address public health issues.
  • Demonstrate project management skills, Data Analysis, Research, and/or critical thinking.
  • Be available to participate in the orientation workshop.
  • Must be based in any part of the FCT. (CHESIDS will not cover the cost of interstate transportation).
  • Must be between 18-35 years.


Selection Criteria
All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and selected applicants will be notified via email with the next steps and program dates.

Note: Be informed that you will be immediately exempted from the program if you provide CHESIDS with false information concerning all aspects of your engagement in the program, specifically your location and availability.
